Coding Quick Start Camp

Join this STEM Camp for an incredible opportunity to introduce the aspiring “tech kid” to MIT’s visual programming language, Scratch, a dynamic coding platform for the creation and design of interactive games, mazes, puzzles, stories and more. Next, in partnership with Bitsbox, students will learn to code the Bitsbox way! Over 900,000 kids have built apps using Bitsbox – and now, students have the opportunity to learn how to code with a mix of fun robot, “Robo Boogie”, projects. Students will start with the code from the provided materials, then change it to make it their own. Kids can then easily share their apps on any mobile device. The “Robo Boogie” curriculum is crazy fun and students will learn the key foundations of coding, including variables, inputs and game animations for their apps. This is the first step in learning to code, and no prior experience is required. Let’s teach kids to love coding, now’s our chance!
