Steven is a computer engineer with 10 years' experience in robotics and unmanned aircraft. He has built robots that solve mazes, aid in search-and-rescue missions, explore Mars (but never did), and has designed unmanned aircraft. After earning his M.S. in Computer Engineering at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, be started two companies: one to build unmanned aircraft to study the world around us and another that specialized in flying the aircraft to gather that data.
He recently sold his businesses and returned to Colorado to be near family. Steven also designs RFID door locks, motion-activated security sensors, and LED hydroponic lights, and enjoys creating art with LEDs, sensors, motors and internet technologies. Steven has experience in most aspects of product development, circuit design, PCB design, fabrication, and assembly to programming and 3D printing. An educator at heart, he has conducted STEM classes and camps for youngsters, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with a new generation of technologists.
